UAV Drone Forecast Privacy Policy

Effective 27 August 2026 · applies to the UAV Drone Forecast app for Android and iOS

UAV Drone Forecast has no accounts, no advertising, and no server of its own. The only data that leaves your device is anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, collected through Google Firebase to keep the app reliable.

What we collect

Location

With your permission, the app reads your device location once at launch (and when you tap the locate button) to centre the forecast on where you are standing. Location is processed on your device and never stored or sent to us. The coordinates of whichever place you are viewing are sent directly from your device to public weather and airspace services as part of each forecast request. You can deny the location permission and pick locations manually; everything works the same way.

What we never do

Services the app talks to

Forecast and safety data come directly from public services: Open-Meteo (weather), NOAA (airport reports and space weather), CelesTrak (satellite orbits), FAA and an open aviation database (airspace), OpenFreeMap and Photon (maps and place names, © OpenStreetMap contributors), and Google Firebase (analytics and crash reporting). Each request carries only what that service needs to answer — typically the coordinates being viewed.

Data retention and deletion

Firebase retains analytics and crash data under Google's standard retention periods and then deletes it automatically. Because the app has no accounts, none of this data is linked to you, and uninstalling the app stops all collection immediately. To ask about data connected to your device, contact us at the address below.
